Unboxing The Nokia Booklet 3G

I am mighty pleased to tell you that I have managed to secure a Nokia Booklet 3G and as always, the first thing I am going to do is unbox it on video for your viewing pleasure. The Booklet 3G is Nokia’s first mini-laptop and features a 10.1″ display with a 1024 x 720 pixel resolution, a 1.6 Ghz fanless Intel Atom processor, a 120 GB hard drive, 1 GB RAM and an astounding 12 hour battery life.

It also packs an inbuilt A-GPS for navigation and a HDMI port. The Booklet also features 3 USB ports and a 3.5mm jack for audio in/out. The aspect in which the Booklet really stand out is its good looks and premium feel, the unibody aluminum frame really stands out here.

So without further adieu, here is the unboxing video of the Booklet 3G.

Nokia: Quality & Made In China Go Hand In Hand

Around the world, it is a popular belief that ‘Made in China’ is worse off than ‘Made in Finland’ when it comes to Nokia devices. The local non Nokia mobile retailers make that special effort to convince people that buying Nokia phones in India is a waste because most devices sold here are made in China.

It appears that Nokia is now trying to shake off that image, and from what I see in this video, Made in China does seem seem to equal ‘Made in Finland’. The message being sent out? As you probably guessed, Nokia quality is uniform throughout the world.

Video Guide: Setting Up Microsoft Exchange Email On Your Nokia E72

The popular perception seems to be that it is difficult to setup Mail For Exchange to sync with Microsoft’s Exchange Server on the mobile, however this is not true. Devices like the E72 and N86 come with Mail for Exchange preinstalled and all you need to set it up on your Nokia are your domain and server details from your IT department. Once you have them, setting up MFE is a piece of cake, as you can probably see from the video above.

Once setup your can sync your Email, Calender, Contacts and To-Do notes from your company’s server to your device.

In this video I look at the web browser on the E72 and its evolution from its predecessor, the E71. The major points of improvement are the stability and the ability to download any file irrespective of whether the phone recognizes it or not. The new browser also has a couple of tricks up its sleeve, watch the video to find out.

Nokia Messaging On The E72

In this video we examine the performance of the integrated Nokia Messaging application of the E72 and in what should come as good news for all of you, it seems to be pretty snappy and reliable, much improved than when we first saw it on the E75. Watch the video to get a better idea.

A Host Of Nokia Facts Shown Off In One Slick Video

Here is a video from the first keynote of ‘The Way We Live Next 3.0′ event that was held at Nokia House Espoo, Finland last month. Did you know that the number of people making a call from Nokia phones right now is greater than the population of Sweden? Or that if all the pictures from Nokia phones were printed out they would stretch from Paris, France to Paris, Texas a whopping 360 times! Watch this video for more.

N97 Mini Overview & N97 Comparison

Since the N97 Mini is after all a younger sibling of the N97, it is only fair that we do a comparison of what differences exist between the two. The N97 Mini has a smaller screen and battery, a redesigned keyboard with arrow keys, no camera cover and a few other subtle differences when compared to the N97.

With the smaller screen to power, the Mini’s battery should also be able to deliver a performance similar to the N97 (read – very good).
