Reinvent Your N97 – Upgrade To The V20 Firmware Now

The firmware that promises to reinvent the N97 experience is now available via the Nokia Software Updater in the from of a 134 MB download and you should waste no time in starting the update. If you’ve not been able to catch up with all the buzz surrounding the firmware, here is a small recap:

Nokia N97 v20 FW Now Available

- Kinetic Scrolling throughout the device – yes I said throughout, in every list.

- More free RAM and better RAM management.

- Greater Internal storage.

- Long press for symbols/numbers on the keyboard.

- New shortcuts, pre-installed Ovi Contacts and so on.

There is no official changelog available yet, but based on demoes we have seen, it is a major update and a must for any N97 owner. The N97 features user data preservation, so you do not need to backup your data before updating. The update is currently only availble via the NSU and we should start seeing the over the air rollout soon as well. I can happily confirm that the update is available for Indian product codes as well.

Note: It is available to backup your device despite the presence of user data preservation before conducting the update.

    honestly.. the n97 has been a big fail for nokia.. it took the 3rd version of software update to get the n97 to function!!!! now that’s not acceptable… with mini too there isn’t much of an update … is nokia out of ideas???
