Nokia has positioned the E75 as an ultimate email/messaging device, but there are a few things it can’t do out of the box. However, that does not mean that you cannot take the ‘messaging’ tag a step further and utilize the potential of the E75 completely. Here are applications that will help you turn the E75 into a Instant Messaging and scan, copy & fax device.

• PALRINGO – This free applications allows you to IM with 10 different IM services including Facebook, Gtalk, Yahoo, Live Messenger and AOL. You can even send voice messages with a single click, join chatrooms and so on. Download here.

• SCANR – This is one of my favourite applications, it has the ability to turn your camera phone into a scanner, copier, and fax. I’ve not used the fax service but the rest work great! The website claims it can clean photos of documents, whiteboards and business cards; extract any text and contact information, and they deliver. The phone application is  basically a upload tool and the processing is done online. Unfortunately, the service is not free but is relatively cheap, try here.
