Nokia has rolled out the v. 20.175 firmware for both the N85 and the N79 brings in loads of bug fixes and improvements. The firmware brings turning controls for flit to silent functionality for calls and alarms, internet telephony setup to make WIFI calls, a standby plugin to display emails on the standby screen and an update to the email setup wizard which offers the users a choice between Nokia Messaging and the inbuilt email client.

The new firmware is available over-the-air (OTA) by simply pressing *#0000# from the standby screen and checking for updates. It can alternatively also be installed via the Nokia Software Updater. Both devices feature user data preservation, so your contacts, applications etc should be safe even after the update. However, a backup is still recommended.
