All of us try and use the mobile as a torch one way or another. Sometimes we try and use the phone’s LCD as a source of light and for the newer devices the dual LED. The dual LED trick is to enable flash in video and start shooting and thus use the phone as a flashlight, however that drains the battery even more and isn’t a very convenient method. Enter Phone Torch for S60 5th Edition devices like the Nokia 5800.

It is a simple tool that turns your device into a very expensive torch, which activates as the press of a button. (Well, the screen actually!) Also available is the ability to send signals in Morse mode. The application is still in development and the author warns against extended use of the LED’s as a torch. Download Here.
