Nokia India has released a few free applications and games for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. They include two free games, and three free applications. Its really great to see Nokia India being the first to release exclusive applications, for a change.

The applications are :

1. SMS Timer
SMS Timer allows you to schedule SMS/MMS messages to be sent on a future date and time. The application functions exactly like the standard messaging application allowing you to define multiple recipients.

• Following are some situations where the SMS Timer will prove handy:
• Scheduling of Birthday wishes or Season’s greetings well in advance
• Sending a message to someone in a different time zone so that it does not reach him at unearthly hours
• Regularly checking your bank account balance by scheduling periodic information request messages and not worry about it

2. Wave Secure
The ultimate security application for your phone. It not only helps you track the lost phone but also ensures full security of the data on the device.

Secure and how:

• Track the lost/stolen device via Buddy Notification or over the Internet
• Remotely Lock the lost/stolen device, so that nobody can misuse the device & data

Marble Maze
Marble Maze is a labyrinth game that utilizes the orientation sensor built inside the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. In this game you control a ball in a labyrinth by tilting the device in your hands and lead the ball into a goal.

Currently there are 40 different labyrinths to solve, and 3 different types of balls viz. a metal ball, a rubber ball, and a super pingpong ball. In this super addictive game you can advance from simple to the more difficult levels requiring skill, accuracy, and determination to hit the high scores.

Touch Card Match

The classic ‘Card Memory’ game, but with a difference. This version has a superb audio visual interface with engaging graphics and touch control.

In the first of three levels you have 20 cards to match and set the pace. You can then challenge yourself with 40 cards in the 2nd and move up to 60 cards in the last. The game play is deceptively simple. You just need to tap on the face down cards and turn them over to see the visual on the face before it hides itself in seconds. Go on to find a similar visual under another card and, voila! you score a point if the visuals match.

It is a quick, fun game, perfect for filling an extra minute and entertaining enough for a long flight. Pretty sure that children and adults alike will enjoy the ‘Touch Card Game’ and it will very quickly become a family favourite.

Touch Maneuver

Let the kid in you bounce back in action. ‘Touch Maneuver’, the virtual version of the classic ‘Don’t touch the wire game’ makes you hold your breath as you aim to control a ring on a virtual path without grazing the track, just with a touch of your finger.
