One major problem we have had to face while moving to the S60 5th Edition based 5800 Xpress Music has been the lack of 3rd party applications that are optimised for the 5800. Although, to its credit, Nokia has tried to offer at least a few applications via the Download! client and through its regional websites.
The good news is that this scenario is changing as more and more applications become compatible. This post is to let you know that S60 has also started a section on S60 5th Edition applications that they will update regularly. So if you are in the market for a few 3rd party applications for your 5800 (free or paid), bookmark this page for regular reference.

Courtesy of the Nseries Innovation Newsdesk, I and a few other bloggers got to put a few questions to Axel Meyer, Head of Design at Nokia Nseries, who is also the designer of the upcoming Nokia N97. The above video shows him answering our queries about the keyboard and design aspects amongst other things, watching the video also gives us an idea of Nokia’s vision for the N97.

Nokia has rolled out the v31.0.016 firmware for the Nokia N82. The update 118MB in size is available via the Nokia Software Updater (NSU) for most generic firmwares. Since the updates usually take a little time in becoming available for the Indian product codes, you might want to change the product code via NSS and update.
However, this firmware doesn’t brings any new features or substantial changes and just contains bug fixes, so even waiting for it to becomes officially available won’t hurt. The N82 features ‘user-data-preservation’ (UDP) so updating the phone should be a painless process, but like I say – a backup never hurts anyone!
